Letter: Kilroy's promise to create jobs is an empty one

Speaking at the Grandview Library, U.S. Rep. Mary Jo Kilroy promised to be a watchdog for consumers on the Financial Reform Conference Committee. But in Washington, Roll Call newspaper reports Congresswoman Kilroy is receiving special help from special interest lobbyists.
It has already been reported that the first thing Kilroy did after getting appointed to the Wall Street reform committee was announce a Washington fundraiser targeting lobbyists and their political action committees for the $5,000 offer they can't refuse.
This is why Americans hate politics. Elected officials like Congresswoman Kilroy come home to tell us they're working for us while they're actively engaging favored lobbyists as part of their campaign to keep their job. Mary Jo Kilroy needs all of this special help because she's done nothing to create jobs and she's done much to kill jobs.
